Festival Fashion Fever

Coachella-2015-1360x680 (1)

Coachella has officially kicked off the summer festival season… I wouldn’t have known… It’s not like my instagram feed has been totally bombarded with amazing pictures from the star-studded event or anything!! But i’m not gonna lie I have been glued to my phone these recent weeks stalking the Fashion Glitterati who have dug out their kimonos and denim hot pants.

The photos and the gossip has just made me so envious of everyone at the festival and SO excited for the upcoming festivals this year. For the past three years i’ve been a loyal Bestival goer and will definitely be there again next year, but this summer I’ve got tickets for V Festival and WOMAD and I am buzzing.

I know it’s slightly early but all this Coachella hype has got me in the mood to start planning some looks and my inspiration has come from my celeb style crushes who have totally been rocking their inner bohemian style.

STYLE CRUSH

Kendall Jenner has definitely got everyone talking and taking notes after rocking her inner bohemian chick with some fab bang-on-trend festival looks. She looks AMAZING!

#MidweekManicure: Coral and Sparkle

I went into this week feeling really unwell with symptoms of tonsillitis- something that likes to regularly haunt me- so I needed a pick me up with some bright and pretty nails.

imagePeachy coral shades remind me of the summer, which brings me happy thoughts of the beach, sun, cocktails, and parties. Oh I can’t wait for the summer time again!

I decided to spruce up my girlie manicure by adding a bit of silver sparkle to one of my nails on each hand. You can never go wrong with glitter- in my opinion it’s a life essential for every season!

Rimmel London’s 60 second coral shade is perfect for Spring/Summer 2015 and does what it says on the bottle… it dries fast so if you’re like me and can’t sit still for very long it is the perfect paint! I used Avon’s grey sparkle varnish which also comes with a magnet stick to create ripple effects- great for parties!

Have a happy Wednesday everyone!!

#As Seen On Me Outfit

#As Seen On Me Outfit

I love this new red cut-out dress I ordered from ASOS. At £12.50 I just could not resist buying it straight away and it’s petite so it’s the perfect length for a shortie like me! I’m normally always wearing LBD’s whenever I go out but I decided to have a change and choose a brighter and bolder colour that would also looks nice against my blonde hair. (I get really worried sometimes that being blonde only looks nice with certain coloured clothes).

Here is the outfit I put together- perfect for a night out to bars and clubs. Now that I have a lush outfit sorted, I have an excuse to get out and experience the night life in my new home- London.

I am addicted to statement necklaces so most of my outfits tend to involve one! I chose my Topshop black and gold necklace to match nicely with the bold red. This necklace was such a great purchase- It’s great to wear over a collared shirt at work, a chunky jumper for a casual day out and to glam up a dress for the evening.

Whenever I go out I will always bring a clutch bag with me, just to hold the essential phone, I.D and money. I chose this Primark cream clutch to brighten up the outfit and with the gold-plaited buckle it matches perfectly with my necklace. This cream clutch gives the outfit an all-season approval- great for the summer and for the winter.

A couple of weeks ago I bought a pair of black heels for £20 at New Look, what a bargain! Chunky heels and wedges are my favourite style of shoe and I was desperate to find a new pair of black ones because they are timeless through every season and always look good with any colour outfit. These ones from New Look are very comfy and at a very attractive price!

For the single ladies who are hitting the town for Valentines- this red dress would be be a great outfit to stand out in the crowd, grab one on ASOS now for just £12.50 in the sale! Quick quick!

I hope you like my #AsSeenOnMe outfit!

#Motivational Monday

#Motivational Monday

When I knew I was moving to London I was dead scared that I would completely loose motivation to exercise because I thought joining any gym in London would be way way way too expensive.

Fortunately at £19.99 a month a fitforless gym was only a five minute walk from my home, and with FREE unlimited classes! So I was very happy to join up!

I do miss the classes I did back at my gym in Romsey because I would go with my sister or friends but I have found a class to do almost every night after work to keep me fit in London too.

Catching the tube does do the trick for exercise though! Walking up and down (sometimes over 200) flights of stairs should definitely tone my legs up by the end of the year.

Anyways I am loving my fitness timetable:

Monday- Zumba
Tuesday- Legs, bums and tums
Wednesday- Box fit
Friday- Body pump
Saturday- Zumba

How do you guys excercise?

Lovin the bareMinerals Bright & Beautiful collection!

photo 5

Before I moved up to London I wanted to treat myself to another pot of my absolute favorite foundation and to my surprise bareMinerals had just brought out a new set that only cost me £4 more to buy.

Inside the Bright & Beautiful Collection:

Full size bottle of the amazing Prime Time- I love this primer because even when I return home at 6.30pm and then quickly remember I have plans to go out, my make-up doesn’t even need a top up. The primer keeps it in place throughout the whole day.

Prime Time eye primer- This is great because it brightens up my eyes and gives them a light shimmer which is lovely and subtle for day to day wear. With some added night-time eye make-up it can also look great and sparkly in the evenings.

Full pot of foundation- There are three colour shades to choose from in this collection. So if you are a Light, Fairly light or Medium beige grab a collection now!

A pot of blusher- I really needed a new blusher and after having such a good experience with foundation I was very excited to try the bareMinerals blusher too. I picked the rose shade as it matched my skin tone well.

Blusher blush- I love my collection of make-up brushes and it’s a shame that the good brushes are always the expensive ones so I was very pleased to get a blusher brush for free with this set!

Eye shadow powder- I chose a dark grey/black eye shadow because I love doing smokey eyes ( although I haven’t quite mastered how amazing Cheryl Cole’s smokey eyes always look just yet).

Lipgloss- I chose a lightish pink shade because I tend to wear quite pastel pink lipsticks, and I thought the two colours would balance well. I love the bareMinerals lipgloss, it lasts for ages (even when I’m eating and drinking) and the colour looks fab!

Eyeliner- In my set I chose the black eyeliner, I’ve never really been too adventurous and tried different eyeliners purely because I can’t imagine they would stand out well enough but this one definitely does and has a no-smudge guarantee!

So with £4 more than just buying the foundation pot you cannot go wrong with all these gorgeous freebies!!

Valentines wish list <3

valentines wishlistHave you been playing cupid for your friends recently or dropping hints of what you want to the boyf? Well most probably because the lovey dovey 14th of February is very much around the corner. And if you aren’t with someone-  why not treat YOURSELF to a cheeky shopping spree.

Anyways I decided to drop my hints a bit more obviously with this cheeky wishlist I created of all the gifts I wouldn’t mind receiving this valentines day. These wishlist gifts are also my dream wardrobe at the minute (items that are currently in my online shopping basket that I’m waiting to afford to splurge on!)

The slip dress: I have wanted a cami dress for ages but they always seem to be too long on me- being 5ft 3 is never an advantage for buying clothes. Firstly you can’t always reach the items you want to try on and secondly even the smallest sizes are too small. That’s why I am very grateful petite collections were invented.

The scarf: I have a huge love for thick and chunky scarfs, especially when we are currently experiencing weather like one of the ‘wettest Januarys on record’. I just love having fluffly scarfs to keep you cosy and also brighten up or add something extra to an outfit.

The bowler hat: Ok putting this item on my wishlist was a bit of a gamble because in all honesty I don’t reckon I would suit one but I just think say are sooooo damn cute! I haven’t actually been brave enough to try one on yet, I think because I am embarrassed too incase people look at me and think, ‘you look like a wannabee Kate Moss!’ Which I guess is true because I do wish I could pull off everything she does!

The nail polish: I’m always painting my nails a new color, often to match my mood or outfit. The current trend is the nude shade and Barry M is one of my fave makes, so I really want to get my hands a bottle and test out the color on my nails.

The heels: Omg aren’t these shoes just to die for! Not like I’d have any room whatsoever to fit these beuties on my shoes rack (I designed it to look like Sarah Jessica-Parker’s in Sex & The City!) but I would find an even better place for them. I’m just in love and I keep picturing different outfits to pair them perfectly with!

The statement necklace: I am a statement necklace addict but my excuse for one more to add to my collection is that I haven’t got a summery pink one yet and coral is my absolute favourite color ever. It just makes me feel happy and think of the lovely hot and sunny weather!

The other dress: I saw this dress and I thought what an absolute bargain, I want it! Forever 21 always have such lovely clothes and at mega bargain prices!!

The bag: Ok this was really cheeky but ever since I laid eyes on this Michael Kors handbag I just could not stop picturing putting my purse and phone inside and carrying it around with me proudly on my arm. I love the tan colour in it too and when I get paid I might just have to treat myself!

Cami slip dress from ASOS- £25

Red ultra fluffy tassel scarf from ASOS- £14

Bowler hat from ASOS- £20

Barry M matte nude nail varnish-  £3.99

Pink peep toe platform sandals from River Island- £55

Coral flower statement necklace from River Island- £15

Dress from Forever 21- £16.25

Michael Kors handbag- too much to even think about

What is your valentines wishlist?

Purchase of the day!

Purchase of the day!

I am loving my new kimono at a bargain price of just £16. I did not expect to find this cheeky number on my casual weekly food shop at Asda, so I just couldn’t resist throwing it in the trolley.

I love my black and white kimono from H&M but this colorful one with tassels is just as perfect for a Spring/Summer style, chucked over a bikini, as it is pairing with skinny jeans in this winter weather. The tassel trend makes it a fab item to add to your festival rucksack checklist too.

Kimono- £16 George at Asda. Not bad eh?!
