Cannes Red Carpet Style Crush

How amazing have all the celebrities been looking on the red carpet for the 68th annual Cannes Film Festival this year?! I sooo wish I was lucky enough to be in their glamorous shoes.

The major event has showcased some of the most gorgeous red carpet looks I’ve seen, who even knew such shimmering statement gowns existed? From feathered trains and sequined bodices to rocking the gladiator chic look, France saw stars flaunt these trends flawlessly.

The opening night of Cannes 2015 was a glamorous parade of gorgeous gowns, sparkling diamonds and flawless makeup.

Here are some of my favourite looks:

Inspired by the celebs’ looks, here’s how you can copy their red carpet look without forking out the triple figure price tag:

red carpet dresses

Sienna Miller totally rocked the classic one shoulder maxi on the red carpet, and you too can look just as sophisticated with this AX Paris Navy dress at £35.

Plunge necklines are fab for bringing a sexy touch to an elegant outfit. And didn’t Miranda Kerr pull it off to perfection in her gorgeous girlie ensemble! Showing off her supermodel bod, in a flowing pink dress, the revealing neckline and thigh slit created the perfect red carpet statement look. Copy the feminine look and look like a goddess with this ASOS Plunge Neck Maxi at £32

Emma Stone looked so cute in the dainty Oscar de la Renta number, decorated with the stunning sheer lace fabric. You too can look just as feminine yet edgy in this flouncy Scalloped Lace Prom dress at Nelly.com for £27.95

Natalie Portman looked SO elegant in her sweetheart bodice red dress! However the post-boox red gown was almost blending in with the carpet. I have found a gorgeous replica in black, this Sweetheart Sheer Fishtail Maxi Dress for £48 in Topshop

Lots of never-ending pins were on display at the prestigious festival, with Miranda Kerr and Karlie Kloss donning the thigh split look. But Karlie Kloss really made a statement wearing a cross between and jumpsuit and dress- and didn’t she look amazing! Her asymetric look took her from supermodel to Gladiator Chic. Copy the trend and stay classic in white with this stunning PU cut out dress by Miss Selfridge at just £25. It might not be floor-length but what a bargain!

The famous faces definitely proved the saying was true: ‘Diamonds are a girls best friend’ with sparkles and shimmer all over their accessories. I totally agree, you can never have to much sparkle and in the form of diamonds? Always more more more!

To accessorise your take on the red carpet look- pair your dress with metallic gem strappy heels (£36.46 at whitehouseblackmarket.com), a classic diamond bracelet (£42.99 at jewelstreet.com) and a statement sparkly clutch (£29.68 at etsy.com).

So if you’ve got any formal events coming up, I hope I have given you some inspiration for finding your perfect celeb-inspired look without having to break the budget!

Love Leeanna xo
